This tour includes several hikes on unpaved paths and leads to heights of up to 3000. The weather in the mountains is changeable and difficult to predict. Sturdy, ankle-high shoes with a profile, comfortable trekking pants and a windproof rain jacket are required.

Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, known as a silk road, which aligns in-between Europe and Asia. The city has always been known for its multicultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. You can overlook Tbilisi from Narikala Fortress. The Fortress was built in the 4th century and was known as Shuri’s-Tsikhe (Invidious Fort). Initially, it was the Persian citadel. Now, it has an active church and is one of the most popular tourist destinations.
During the one-day tour, you will be able to see the spectacular capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, which has indeed to offer you. There are some must-see destinations such as Old Tbilisi Area, Narikala Fortress, funicular, Mtatsminda Park, Open Air ethnographic museum and many more. we will eat Georgian dishes at the restaurant and watch Georgian national dances.
In the morning, you will set off to the very East of Georgia to the lovely city of Sighnaghi. The most romantic city of Georgia is famous for its old Georgian architectural style, amazing views on Alazani valley and also the longest castle wall in Georgia. After that you will go down to Alazani valley and reach the wine village Velistsikhe, visit 300 year old wine cellar Numisi. You can have lunch in Velistsikhe (our guide will advise you best places). After that you will visit Alaverdi Monastery and Matsoni House. The monastery was founded by the Assyrian monk Joseph (Yoseb, Amba) Alaverdeli in VI century. Matsoni is a type of yogurt, pure Georgian traditional one. You will taste different kinds of that yogurt, which will make you surprise by its different and marvelous taste.
Overnight in Telavi (Kakheti).
Drive to the historic capital Mtskheta at the crossroads of the Military Road and the Silk Road. Visit the Jvari Church (6th century) high above Mtskheta and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) in the center of the old capital, both UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Continue along the Georgian Military Road into the Greater Caucasus. The ancient caravan route connected the north with the Orient. Due to its strategic importance, the connecting road was considered the “gateway to the Orient” by the Russian Empire in the 19th century. Several fortifications were built for defense. Visit the ornate fortress church of Ananuri (17th century) on the Zhinvali reservoir and cross the 2,395 m high Cross Pass. In the afternoon, drive to the Russian border, through the legendary Dariali Gorge, the “gateway to the north” that has been fought over for thousands of years. Overnight in Stepantsminda.
After breakfast, hike to the pilgrimage church of tsminda Sameba (14th century, 2,170 m) in front of the spectacular panorama of Mount Kazbek (5,054 m), the highest peak in the eastern Greater Caucasus. Return via the military road and continue west along a branch of the old Silk Road . Visit to the 7th century Church of the Mother of God Atenis Sioni, one of the most beautiful cross-domed churches in Georgia with frescoes of the life of the Virgin Mary from the 12th century.

After breakfast, drive to the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe . Situated in the wide river valley of the Mtkvari, bizarre rock ruins bear witness to the former size and importance of the trading post. Transfer to Akhaltsikhe. Rabati Castle – A medieval castle and stronghold in the town of Akhaltsikhe. The newly restored castle is a major tourist destination in southern Georgia.

After breakfast, visit to Paravani Lake – The largest lake in Georgia, located on the Javakheti Plateau. Than visit the cave city Vardzia. Vardzia is a medieval rock-engraved city with outstanding historical and architectural value, one of the most important historical sites and tourist attractions in Georgia. Late afternoon transfer to Kutaisi.
Overnight in Kutaisi
Kutaisi is one of Georgia’s oldest cities, situated on the banks of the Rioni River. In the morning visit Bagrati Church. Bagrati Cathedral is an 11th-century cathedral in the city of Kutaisi, in the Imereti region of Georgia. Than transfer spa town of Tskaltubo, Sataplia and the Prometheus stalactite cave , discovered in 1984. Depending on the water level, a short underground boat tour is possible at the end. Transfer to Okatse Canyon: a hiking trail in the forest and a 780-meter-long cascading path, Kinchkha: a three-stage cascade waterfall – one of the largest in Georgia; the heights of the three waterfalls are 25 m, 70 m and 35 m, respectively.
Martvili Canyon: a 2400-meter- long canyon formed by the limestone rocks of the Abasha River, two 700-meter-long hiking trails with two bridges in the centre; you can also take a boat trip along the 300-meter-long section.

In the morning transfer to Batumi, On the way we will visit Shekvetili Dendrological Park. Shekvetili Dendrology par with its sweeping scope, unique and diverse collection of plants, the perfect setting for studying biodiversity, and original landscaping, all of which makes it exceptional in every way not only in Black Sea area but also in the entire region. Than visit Gonio Fortress near Batumi, also known as Gonio-Apsaros Fortress, is the oldest citadel in the country of Georgia whose formation dates back to the Roman Empire. Occupying 4.5 hectares (over 11 acres) near the city of Batumi in Adjara Region.

After breakfast free time in Batumi before afternoon, The second-largest city of Georgia and the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, known for its modern high-rise buildings as well as classical 19th-century architecture. Explore the Neptune Sculpture, Statue of Medea, Astronomical Clock, Alphabet Tower, Batumi Boulevard, and more. There are a lot of attractions to try in Batumi. You can go paragliding, riding water scooters and many more. You can also spend some relaxation time in the Batumi Botanic Garden if you decide to take the tour. than transfer to Mestia.

Mestia is a small town with traditional towers located on the banks of the Mestiachala River, serving as the administrative center of Mestia Municipality. In the morning, we go up to Koruldi lakes by cars 4×4, On the panoramic view you will see Shkhara, Tetnuldi, Ushba, Laila and others. The peaks of the lakes leave unforgettable impression on the visitor. Return to Mestia and visit Modern cable car bringing people onto the Zuruldi ridge. It offers phenomenal views of some of the most prominent peaks of Caucasus such as Ushba, Tetnuldi, and Layla.
Overnight in Mestia
In the morning visit to Mestia Museum, also known as the Museum of History and Ethnography of Svaneti, is located in Mestia. It was founded in 1936 and since 2004 has been part of the National Museum of Georgia. Everyone will find something interesting in the museum. It can be iconography, war equipment, ancient coins or copper and silver jewelry. Afternoon we head to Ushguli., the last and highest settlement in Zemo Svaneti and one of the highest settlements in all of Europe, located near the foothills of Mt. Shkhara (5201 m; 17064 ft), the highest peak in Georgia and the Main Caucasus Range. Its four villages with numerous towers and scenic views of Mt. Shkhara and Lamaria Church offer an unforgettable experience.
Overnight in Ushguli
In the morning we will take Horses to the glaciers ( 2 km hike included). Return to Ushguli and transfer to Racha through Zagaro Pass. the region of Racha – a highland area located in northwestern Georgia. This place has always attracted Georgian and international tourists and, with recent infrastructure investments, it’s popularity has been booming. we will visit a family wine cellar to taste wine and try Racha dishes.
Overnight in Ambrolauri
In the morning we will visit Nikortsminda Church of St. Nicholas (XI c.), decorated with the XVI-century frescoes. The XI-century Chelishi Monastery is found in 5 km from this point, in a deep headcanyon. 3 km from here, there is an ″Ice cave″ in the rock. In the afternoon we will head to Tbilisi. On the way we will pass Chiatura Town and Katskhi Pillar. Katskhi Pillar (Imereti) A 40-meter (131 ft) high pillar with a church built on top, once serving as an old monastic center. Chiatura Town (Imereti) A mining town characterized by districts located on high slopes on both sides of the Khvirila River. Chiatura boasts one of the largest systems of cable cars in the world. Return to Tbilisi.
